Structural Chiropractic vs. Traditional Chiropractic

Traditional or Conventional Chiropractic has the following goals:
  • Decrease Muscular Spasm
  • Increase Range of Motion
  • Reduce Pain
This is what most chiropractors offer in the way of care, and we believe that most of these folks are great at what they do. The focus of this style of care is relief of symptoms.
In our office, rather than using manipulation to try to increase range of motion of the joint, we find that when the joints of the upper neck are re-aligned properly, it effects the whole body framework.
The upper neck is home to the neurology that controls the Paraspinal (Anti-Gravity) Musculature. An accident or injury that causes an abnormal shift of the spinal structure can create an obstruction in the normal nerve function, resulting in asymmetry and imbalance of the muscles that help you stand up straight. The result is an abnormal twist in your spinal column, and accelerated wear and tear that can become very painful or create a variety of other Secondary Conditions.
At Restoration Chiropractic our focus is Structural Correction. We utilize gentle, high precision Image Guided treatment protocols, and take an engineering approach to the spine. Our goal is to restore your spinal structure back to what is considered to be normal.
