Whats first?
After a consultation we will complete an exam. We can determine if you have a structural issue treatable in our office based on the following findings:
Asymmetrical Posture
Tilted Hips
Leg Length Inequality (non-anatomical)
Muscular Imbalance
Structural Shift (only measurable with x-ray)
A medical referral is not required, anyone can schedule an exam.
What shoud I expect?
Our goal is precision and correction, and the adjustment itself will feel very gentle. You will not experience any twisting or thrusting in our office, as forceful manipulations can be very high risk for injury and stroke.
A correction will show a fairly rapid improvement in body posture and spinal structure, with greater symmetry in muscle tone, and additional improvements gradually over time.
When will i feel better?
24 - 48 hours following your first correction may result in mild muscle soreness, but often resolves very quickly. Results vary across individuals based on their history and misalignment type. Some people find relief very quickly, but generally, the most significant improvements come in the first 6 weeks of starting care.
how often do i have to come back?
The two weeks following the first correction we like to check the alignment every few days to ensure it is maintaining properly, and do any additional correcting as necessary. The following weeks are case-by-case, but may involve weekly checks to ensure the alignment maintains.
After the first few weeks of care, we try to wait increasingly longer between appointments as the alignment maintains (holds). Our version of a “maintenance” plan is case by case, with the goal of the alignment maintaining as long as possible. Some can wait a month, others, a year or longer. The type of misalignment, severity/frequency of injury, and total stability being the main differences between individuals.
Do you take insurance?
We operate as an “out of network” provider. This means direct payment at time of service, but we provide medical receipts (“Superbills”) that can be submitted to your insurance provider, with the hope that you will receive reimbursement. Some have better luck than others, as everyone’s plans tend to be different, but we do what we can to keep our fees reasonable and accessible.
We do not offer pre-pay discounts, as everyone’s care is individualized.
What Else should i know?
Health issues can be a challenging puzzle, and we recognize that we are only a piece of it — we regularly refer and work with other healthcare providers who offer additional expertise, whether that be Physical Therapy, Massage, Personal Trainers, even other Chiropractors. We know what we’re good at, but our interest is in helping you improve your overall health and quality of life.
